Week Two
Conor celebrated his two week birthday by taking his first adventure since being home....THE DOCTOR. This trip included a quick weight check and a shot. Quick??? There is nothing quick about a baby. Packing up his bag, getting a screaming baby into his car seat, putting it all into the car for a "quick" trip to the doctor. Exhausted, we are off. He gained all of his weight back and is checking out to be a thriving little fella. We asked about his crying and what we could do about it...."Well" the doctor says, "babies do cry." We are praying Conor does not have colic.

Week One
Conor was two weeks late and we are sure that is not the last hard headed thing he does. Christie went in for her check up on Tuesday and Doctor Zern scheduled the inducement on Friday. "How are you feeling?" was the big question. Knowing we would be holding our son by Friday. We were feeling every emotion you can think of .... joy, excitement, anticipation, fear. Friday morning came and we were headed to the hospital at 6 am. Christie was hooked up to the pitocin by 7 am. We were surrounded by a wonderful team of doctors and nurses.
At 4:37 we heard the first cry and held the miracle God created. He had 10 fingers and 10 toes. A healthy baby boy. He is ours to take home????? Does he come with a manual?????? He is still crying.....we ordered the one that does not cry, poop or pee...... We learned the first week that little boys like to spray. Thank God for pee pee tee pees because he is not returnable.
